The Senior Legal Counsel position is based in Heredia, Costa Rica, and will support Bridgestone's operations in Costa Rica and report directly to the Central America Legal Manager, who is also based in Costa Rica, and working in together with the Team in Latin America North. The candidate must have proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial, marketing and manufacturing supplier contracts and have a strong background in commercial law, corporate law, labor/civil/commercial litigation, labor law, data privacy, ethics & compliance. The Senior Legal Counsel will be involved in complex commercial transactions and critical negotiations of operational contracts in Costa Rica and America Central. She/He will advise and support on commercial, corporate and labor matters, among other responsibilities, to all the operations in Costa Rica (Business, Manufacturing, Share Service Center, Free Trade Zone, and other Departments of Bridgestone in the Region). The Senior Legal Counsel will also be responsible for maintaining the Bridgestone Global Ethics & Compliance Program through training and activities across different business units in Costa Rica & America Central. She/He will coordinate, perform, and accompany audits, as well as actively participate in internal investigations. The Senior Legal Counsel must always act with integrity, engage comfortably in difficult conversations with the different areas of the Company, and identify and address legal matters professionally and promptly. The Senior Legal Counsel must know how to interact with Law Firms in the region, controlling the budget while ensuring that the matters entrusted to them are followed up on and that the level of response received is adequate in terms of both time and quality of analysis in relation to the company's interests.
